Large Scale Industrial Dismantling
| J Freeley Ltd was awarded the contract by Wiseman Dairies to demolish structures and buildings on the giant disused terminal in Trafford Park, Manchester. The contract involved partial demolition only of some of the buildings on the site as the client wished to use and incorporate some of the existing buildings in the new factory. J Freeley Ltd installed bracing and structural support to retained buildings as part of this contract.
Several hundred tones of scrap metal was processed and removed from site. Large parts of the site were contaminated by oil from its previous use as an oil terminal. As part of the contract these areas were excavated and remediated leaving the site ready for the new build works. “Trafford Park is an historic industrial complex, so it was pleasing to be instrumental in the revitalisation oof this large industrial site which will ultimately create significant new employment.” |
